Ayurvedic Diet and Cooking

The basis of Ayurvedic Diet lies in healthy functioning of digestive system.

There are three main constitution types in Ayurveda; Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
Each type has a different inclination in terms of the functioning of digestive system. Pitta dominant types eat and have rapid bowel movement and defecation just like seagulls. On the other hand, Vata dominant types are prone to constipation. Kapha dominant types tend to damp down digestive fire. The main goal is to form a diet, spice and tea blend as well as an individualized daily routine that will reinforce the digestive fires of each constitution type.
